One of the greatest historical places in England. It was built by william the conqueror around 1066 and was a great medieval palace for a long time as well as a prison and a dungeon. It is famous for its many towers including the bloody tower where the two princes were murdered. Anne Boleyn and katherine howard were executed on tower green and their bodies lie in the chapel right behind the execution site in st peter ad vincula. In the wakefield tower, there is graffiti carved into the walls from prisoners from long ago. There is graffiti known to be carved by lady jane grey or her husband who was known as the 9 day queen. She was executed within the tower by Queen Mary who is now known as bloody Mary. Elizabeth I was also kept in the tower at one point for false accusations against her. Sir Walter Raleigh was also kept prisoner here for almost 12 years! This place is known to be a very haunted place due to its dark historical past. Also famous for housing the crown jewels where many tourists come to see them. It currently has the fit for a king exhibit which displays henry VIII's actual armour. Known to be a haunted castle
