Video on the history and the remarkable low water zone off the South East coast of Jersey. Seymour tower was built in 1782 following the unsuccessful attack on Jersey by the French. The tower is now one of the remarkable images of Jersey. It is possible to stay overnight in the tower (with a guide). The south east coast of Jersey is now a Ramsar wetlands site with tides of up to 12 metres. These are some of the highest tides in the world. It is easy to get cut off by the rising tide so you need to go with a guide if you do not have extensive local knowledge of the area. Jersey Walk Adventures lead guided walks on the seabed whenever the tides are low enough. http://www.jerseywalkadventures.co.uk/
